Meet Aaron Vitale | Founder
My name is Aaron Vitale, and I’m a 4th-generation San Francisco Bay Area native. I’m 51 years old, married, and a proud father of four boys.
I was born in the East Bay Area and now live in Danville. I’m a pretty simple guy who loves spending time with my family, building, and creating.
A Career Built on Hard Work and Expertise
Over Three Decades in Real Estate Development.
I’ve been a Spec Real Estate Developer and Builder for more than 30 years. My credentials include:
Holding a General Contracting License (30+ Years).
Holding a General Engineering ‘A’ License for the past 25 years.
Holding a Real Estate Broker’s License, obtaining was one of my hardest challenges
I consider myself a “Ph.D.” in the field of building and real estate development.
A Shift in Philosophy
For the first 30 years of my career, I worked tirelessly, pushing myself to build bigger projects and scale my company. While I thoroughly enjoyed the process and accomplishments, this came at a cost: perpetual stress for myself and my family.
Today, my philosophy on life is simple:
Be around people I enjoy being with.
Work on things that bring me happiness.
Focus on working with forward-thinking, intelligent, no-drama individuals.
I’ve learned the importance of balance, and I choose to focus on projects and partnerships that align with these values.
From Building Projects to Hedge Funds
The Journey, The Process
The 2008/2009 financial crisis was a turning point for me. The collapse of the real estate market left me overleveraged, resulting in significant financial losses.
Determined to rebuild with resilience, I began recovering in 2013/2014. As I was doing prior to the crash, I once again began to successfully buy vacant land, design, entitle, build my projects, and sell.
Around this time, I also became intrigued by cryptography, cryptocurrency, blockchain, and decentralized finance. In 2012/2013, I started experimenting with Bitcoin (BTC) when its value was under $100. Like most, I was skeptical at first, but my interest and understanding grew over time.
A New Beginning During COVID
By April 2020, I had just finished constructing my house and moving in. With time on my hands during the pandemic, I reflected on my career and reinvented myself.
The Building Blocks of Success
Real Estate Development Principles Applied to Finance
Throughout my real estate career, I developed and managed numerous:
Investment pools/Funds
Joint ventures
These partnerships involved stacking debt and equity from investors and lenders. I had to master not just building but also finance.
The same principles I used in real estate development—adding value, maximizing use, and managing costs—apply to hedge fund management:
Adding Value: Identifying opportunities to create or enhance wealth.
Maximizing Use: Making the most of resources and opportunities.
Managing Costs: Delivering excellent results without overspending.
Timing is Key: Executing trades, and investments at the right time.
Building a Hedge Fund
The fund I’m building today reflects everything I’ve learned:
The same strategies for creating successful real estate projects.
The focus on assembling the right team to achieve exceptional results.
We offer what every investor wants:
The foundation of our hedge fund is: ‘Great Returns without Great Risks’.
Meet Brandon Mangold (Our Investment Manager)
Brandon began his career in technology straight out of school in 2002 and worked his way up to the top of his respective field. He started working for the airlines in 2008 and was promoted to Chief Network Architect in 2011, where he was asked to lead the technical design and implementation projects for the merger of Continental and United Airlines. Having just taken a new job with the airlines, he was shocked to see oil rise to $147 a barrel just months after he started and then equally shocking to witness the housing and asset market meltdown shortly after. During this event, he watched as close friends and family experienced dramatic losses in retirement and life savings when fund managers panic sold most of their assets at the bottom of the 2008 selloff.
As a result, Brandon was prompted to turn his attention to the financial markets. He didn’t want to allow that to happen to him and his family, so he made it his goal to be able to intelligently navigate and manage his own investments without reliance on others. He started by studying the Buffet style of value investing, and over time, realized that style of investing would work well in a more stable monetary supply market. However, in an ever-destabilizing debt-based system, another layer of analysis was needed. After many years of experimenting with different trading and investing strategies, he eventually discovered Bitcoin and Austrian economics. In studying these principles, he uncovered the keys to counter trading the predominant Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) world view, which is confined to a traditional debt-based fiat ruleset that has been built on the last ~50 years of experience with market reactions to forcing functions. Since MMT largely doesn’t take into account the changing macro situation and overall destabilization of the debt-based system, this gave him the edge he was looking for.
In 2018, Brandon started to develop a new set of trading rules dictated by global liquidity forcing functions and technical analysis. Over the years, he further refined the trading strategy, mostly by simplifying the technical analysis rules and streamlining the key metrics tracked. He started a YouTube channel and Twitter (now X) account by popular request of the online investor Discord community he was active in. Having a background in technology, he was able to break down the summary use case, TAM, and sadly, most importantly, the hype potential of cryptocurrency projects. As his following grew, it wasn’t long before he was requested to make videos in 2020 explaining his thesis on several cryptocurrency trades and trading strategies he was employing, so he started a YouTube channel and X/Twitter profile for ease of access. After outlining and executing multiple large winning trades in the 2020-2021 crypto bull market, his profiles attracted a larger audience. By popular demand, late in 2021, he started a Discord community, which remains very active to this day.
